What the evening includes
Visit Verona describes the performance as an itinerant adaptation: the audience follows the actors from Juliet's House, enters the theatre, descends its historic stairs and returns outdoors to encounter central places connected with the Shakespearean narrative. The final scene takes place on the nineteenth-century stage of Teatro Nuovo.
The production is in Italian, with narration also in English. That is a helpful distinction for international visitors: you are not expected to understand every line as if watching a conventional English-language play, but the route and narrative framing are designed to make the experience accessible.
Dates, weather and capacity
The official listing gives two runs in 2026: 21 July to 14 August, then 24 August to 11 September, Monday to Saturday at 9 p.m. Sunday is excluded. In bad weather, the show moves indoors to Teatro Nuovo, so the evening is not simply cancelled by rain.
Capacity is limited and advance purchase is recommended. That is practical rather than promotional advice: this is a moving audience, not an open street festival. Arrive with time to find the Teatro Nuovo entrance in Piazzetta Navona and avoid building a tight dinner reservation into the hour before the start.
Pair it with a slower Verona evening
Keep the daytime version of Juliet's House short, then save the atmosphere for the performance. A walk beside the Adige or through the smaller central streets before an early dinner makes a better lead-in than spending the entire afternoon in a queue. Afterwards, the city centre is still close enough for a quiet drink or a walk back to your accommodation.
